Some people find it hard to put in contact lenses but movie heartthrob Robert Pattinson has an extreme reaction to his Twilight contact lenses – he wants to blow them up! Robert plays romantic vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga movies, for which he has to wear golden vampire contact lenses. Apparently he hates his contact lenses so much that he wants to destroy them. He told Entertainment Weekly:
“Everyone else has figured out how to do it, and then there’s two people holding me down because I can’t do it myself… It’s so embarrassing for me – after so many years, it’s still a process every single morning… I actually want to get some kind of plastic explosive… I want to kill the lenses.”
It seems that even after wearing the Twilight contact lenses for three movies, Robert Pattinson still cannot put them in himself. Now I know it can be tricky to put in your contact lenses the first time but this has to be the most angry reaction I have heard to contact lenses!
Tips For Putting In Twilight Contact Lenses
It is actually quite easy to put in a pair of contact lenses, although it can be tricky the first couple of times. My advice is to get someone else to show you. If you have a friend who wears contact lenses they would be ideal, or you can ask for a demonstration at your local optician. If you have trouble putting in your lenses it is probably because you do not like the idea of putting something in your eye. But once you actually do it you will see that it does not hurt a bit. Another common problem is if you are not holding your eye open properly. You need to hold the eye open so that you can see the white of the eye all the way around your iris. Then exhale and gently bring the lens to your eye. As I said, the best person to demonstrate is someone who is experienced with lenses or your optician. Rest assured, there is no need to be held down like Robert!
