Halloween II 1981

After the unprecedented success of the first Halloween film in 1978 there was room for a spine tingling sequel aptly called Halloween II. Following on from the original storyline the film picks up from where the first film ended and we are left in suspense, as yet again Michael Myers has set his sights on murdering Laurie Strode, killing whoever crosses his path in the process. Full of tension and seriously jumpy moments this gory horror film is perfect for watching at Halloween so turn down the lights, turn up the volume and be prepared to be scared with Halloween II.

Halloween II (18) – synopsis

Michael Myers Halloween

We are still in Halloween of 1978 and Michael Myers has just been shot six times by Loomis, his body falling over the upstairs balcony to the grass below. Running to see the body of Michael Myers Loomis finds nothing but a bloody stain on the grass, getting a neighbour to call the police Loomis goes in search of the escaped murderer. Michael lurks in the shadows until Loomis has gone and then breaks into a neighbours house stealing a large kitchen knife in the process. Now armed with the knife Michael stalks a girl to her home where he brutally stabs her to death. Meanwhile an ambulance has arrived to take Laurie to hospital following the injuries inflicted by Michael and Loomis has met up with sheriff Brackett who in turn drive off in search of Myers. A patrol car hits a young man who is wearing a similar mask to that of Michael and then crashes into the side of a van killing the young man as the resulting explosion incinerates his body. Sheriff Brackett is informed by a deputy that his daughter has been killed by Myers and rushes off to the murder scene to identify the body. Loomis makes the startling announcement that Myers could still be alive as they have no idea who the man crushed to death was. Myers follows Laurie after hearing a radio announcement that she has been taken to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. Arriving at the hospital Myers goes on a murdering spree killing most of the hospital staff in a bid to get to Laurie. An EMT called Jimmy reveals to Laurie the name of the man trying to kill her and that he had escaped from a mental institution the previous night. Confused by the revelation Laurie has no idea why she has been targeted. Loomis later discovers that Laurie is actually Michael Myers younger sister born two years before Myers original murder and adopted when her parents died two after Michael’s incarceration. Fearing for her life once again Laurie trys to make her escape from the hospital but injured she tries to find somewhere safe to hide. With Myers hot on her trail and narrowly avoiding his attacks she makes it into the car park where she gets into a car soon to be joined by Jimmy. Unable to start the car Jimmy passes out and slumps over the steering wheel sounding off the cars horn accidentally signalling Myers to Laurie’s hiding place. As Myers appears across the car park will Laurie be able to out run him again or will Myers succeed this time in completing his murderous rampage?
