Kids will always enjoy reading exciting books whether it be with their parents or on their own, so here are some halloween books for kids that everyone can enjoy. The most popular time to read a book with a child is just before bed time so you donÆt want something thatÆs too scary and will give them nightmares. Books in general are a fun way to improve a Childs reading skills and get them to be creative and use their imagination. Halloween books for kids are also a great way to get into the Halloween spirit and come up with ideas for costumes and themes for trick or treating.
The Night before Halloween by Natasha Wing

The Night Before Halloween
What do monsters do to prepare for their Halloween celebrations? This is exactly what this delightful book is about. A group of monsters are preparing for Halloween and to come face to face with the human trick or treaters who will knock on their door. With fantastic eye catching illustrations and written in an easy to read rhyming style for kids, this book is full of fun and mischief and is suitable for young children making it an ideal book for anytime especially halloween.
The 13 Nights of Halloween by Rebecca Dickinson

The 13 Nights Of Halloween
With a similar tune and style to the Christmas song The Twelve Days of Christmas this delightful book is about a shy goblin boy who gives 13 gifts to his sweetheart over the 13 nights before Halloween. Not only does this book have a catchy rhyming reading style but it contains beautifully detailed illustrations that hold an extra bonus. Hidden within each of the illustrations are the goblins presents ready for the kids to find making this book more than just a story. Great fun for both young children and adults a like.
Goosebumps by R. L. Stine
For older children the Goosebumps series of books by R. L. Stine are simply brilliant, they have been around for years and with so many different titles to choose from you are spoilt for choice. They are perfect for those over the age of 8 as they are not too scary but are great for keeping you captivated as you always want to know what is going to happen. Two of my favourite Goosebumps titles are:

Monster Blood
Monster Blood:
A 12 year old boy called Evan is forced to go stay with his seriously creepy deaf great-aunt, where he befriends a local kid called Andy. The two friends take a trip to an old toy store in the town where they buy a can of monster blood. They think nothing of the monster blood until strange things start to happen to everyone around them and the monster blood starts to grow and come alive.

Say Cheese And Die
Say Cheese and Die!
You will never want your photo taken again after reading this book. Can there be such a thing as a camera that can predict the future? When Greg finds an old camera in an abandoned haunted house he assumes itÆs like any other. He uses it to take a few photos but the pictures come out different to the photo he took. Things start to get creepy when Greg takes a photo of his friend but the picture just shows an empty space, his friend then completely disappears!
