Have a Friday 13th Halloween, making it the theme of the night and exciting for every guest who attends. Friday 13th is an American horror franchise, with no less than twelve films, a television show, comic books, novels and merchandise. Jason Voorhees is the fictional central character of Friday 13th movies, he drowned at Camp Crystal Lake as a young boy due to staff negligence. The lake’s rumoured to be cursed, making it the ideal setting for Jason’s series of mass murders. The original Friday 13th film was written by Victor Miller and produced and directed by Sean.S.Cunningham but neither of them returned to write or direct any sequels.
Friday 13th Novels
Paramount Pictures purchased full licensing rights to Friday 13th after its success, four of the films were adapted into novels, with Friday the 13th Part III written by two separate authors. In total six films have been written in the form of novels.

New Line Cinema took over the franchise and whilst subsequent films were not very popular, Friday the 13th is considered one of the most successful media franchises in America. With the popularity of the initial films, comic book series and short novels, Friday 13th has a large fan base who have created their own Friday 13th films, tattooed their bodies with Friday 13th artwork and used Jason’s eerie hockey mask as one of the most recognized images in horror culture.
